Another day where England had the upper hand. While India’s batting had another bad day, there was a major talking point as Shardul Thakur ended up as the highest scorer in the 1st innings. With Joe Root out already, anything can happen on Day 2.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka produced a strong result, winning the first ODI against South Africa.
