3 mins read

Amid all the tension around their virtual quarter-final against Afghanistan, New Zealand played their own ‘highly efficient’ game to reach the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021. On a slowish wicket, it was the Kiwis that came up trumps against the spin-heavy Asian side.

NZ’s win and Pakistan’s win later against Scotland meant that New Zealand finished the group on the 2nd spot, setting up another massive World Cup clash against England.

We finally know the semi-final line-ups – England vs New Zealand and Pakistan vs Australia.

On Monday, India will play for pride in Virat Kohli’s final match as T20I captain – against Namibia.
