CricStox Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as “CricStox” or “We” or “Us” or “Our”, as the context requires) owns and operates a cricket inspired trading platform where users can buy/ sell ‘stox’ of cricketers using virtual currency through the portal called ‘CricStox’ (“Contest”) which shall be made available as a website and/ or application (each a “Platform”). References herein to the Platform will also include usage of our website, services, applications, products, and content by you.

Games of skill are legal, as they are excluded from the ambit of the Public Gambling Act, 1867. The Honourable Supreme Court of India in the case of State of Andhra Pradesh vs. K Satyanarayana (AIR 1968 SC 825) and K.R. Lakshmanan vs. State of Tamil Nadu (AIR 1996 SC 1153) has held that a game in which success depends predominantly upon the superior knowledge, training, attention, experience, and adroitness of the player shall be classified as a game of skill.

The Contest as described above is a game of skill as success of a user depends primarily on their superior knowledge of the game of cricket, player statistics, knowledge (including knowledge of trade economics), analysis of players' relative form, players' performance in a particular territory, conditions and/ or format (such as ODIs, test cricket and Twenty Twenty), attention and dedication towards the Contest and adroitness in playing the Contest and therefore, legal in India, save and except for certain states wherein games of skills are not allowed as stated hereinbelow.

By participating in this Contest, each user acknowledges and agrees that he/ she is participating in a game of skill.

Excluded States:

By virtue of the powers vested by the Constitution of India, the legislations passed in the states of Orissa, Telangana, Assam, Nagaland, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim and Karnataka do not permit users to participate in game of skills and therefore, CricStox does not allow the residents of the aforesaid states to participate/ utilise the services provided by its Platform.

By participating in this Contest, each user acknowledges and agrees that he/ she is not a resident of Orissa or Telangana or Assam or Nagaland or Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu or Sikkim or Karnataka.
